Ensuring accuracy of keyed, typeset data is time intensive and fundamentally essential part of any data processing OR typesetting process. We at INTEC provide Proof Reading with respect to specifications and manuscripts as a service.
We have an on-line work flow where the keyed/typeset page is displayed with the original manuscript page and all instructions are displayed at a click of a button so that the operator can quickly check if anything is missing or has been captured/Typeset incorrectly. All corrections are then captured and sent to the client or done in-house depending on the SOP. We are also comfortable using the old school method of printing out the entire text and then manually marking corrections on paper but no longer advocate this method for preliminary stages of proofing.
